The exciting midfielder has been a fixture in the Spurs side since the start of last season - he has either started or been on the bench in 58 or our last 59 matches - and is an integral part of Wales' international renaissance under Mark Hughes.
Hughes and his entire Wales squad were present at the Vale of Glamorgan Golf and Country Club, Hensol, to see Simon cap his amazing 12 months by taking the top prize.
On target twice for us this season, Simon has also bagged his first goals for Wales this term - a memorable solo opener in Croatia and, more importantly, a goal in Wales' opening Euro 2004 qualifier in Finland last month.
Now preparing for a Euro 2004 cracker against Italy at the Millennium Stadium next week, Davies beat off strong competition from strikers Craig Bellamy and John Hartson to land the main prize at the Worthington Wales Player of the Year Awards.
Meanwhile, Cardiff duo Robert Earnshaw and Danny Gabbisdon took the Young Player and Club Player awards.
Simon Davies has been named Welsh Footballer of the Year - Welsh football's top individual award.
