Simon out to extend Reds record

Posted on 13 March 2003  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Simon Davies is looking to build on our home record against Liverpool in Sunday's huge Premiership clash.

The Welsh star's record in his time at the club reads played two, won two and we've won our last four Premiership meetings at the Lane.

Indeed, you have to go back to December 1996 for Liverpool's last win here.

We've run Liverpool close at Anfield in the last few seasons as well and Simon says we've every right to be confident.

"We've always done well against Liverpool since I've been here, especially at home," pointed out Simon, who also made his debut against the Reds back in April 2000. "We had a good win against them last season and hopefully we can do it again.

"For me anyway, you get some teams that you just feel like you'll do well against and Liverpool is one of them.

"But they are a great side and we'll have to be on our toes to get the win win we need."

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS GAME TAKES PLACE ON SUNDAY AT 3PM DUE TO LIVERPOOL'S INVOLVEMENT IN THE UEFA CUP
