The pitch was ripped up at the conclusion of last season and has been replaced using the very latest in modern pitch technology.
Strands of plastic have been woven into the new turf to given added durability and the drainage system completely replaced. The aim is a lasting flat, durable surface.
Simon is more than happy about this development and says it can only help the team play the passing style they are now associated with.
"I haven't seen it, but I've heard about it and, fingers cross, hopefully it will stay good and keep its grass right throughout the year because it will help us as a team," said Simon. "We like to knock the ball about on the deck."
Simon adds that last season's pitch did not work in the team's favour in the final third of the campaign, but refuses to use it as an excuse for any defeats.
"We could all make excuses, but it's the same for both teams playing. It did get a bit tricky near the end, there was a lot of mud on the pitch, very firm and the ball was bouncing all over the place.
"Hopefully the new pitch will help us with our passing."
Simon Davies says the new playing surface at White Hart Lane should help the team with their passing game next season.
