The midfielder has been out of action with a hip injury since playing for Wales against Finland in September. His last Spurs outing was against Fulham on August 30.
Spurs and Welsh Player of the Year in 2002, Simon has been back in training for three weeks and is raring to go again.
"Training has gone well this week and I can finally say I'm looking forward to Saturday," said a beaming Simon after training today.
"I'm hoping to be on the bench against Crystal Palace and kick on from there.
"I haven't actually played for Spurs since the end of August and that feels like a hell of a long time.
"I can't wait to be involved again. Obviously it will take a few weeks to get back into the team and get my match fitness back but just to be involved again will be great."
Look out for more from Simon in his latest 'Digger's Diary' entry on Friday...
