Ryan Mason's (pictured) header and a penalty from David Hutton saw the lads home 2-1 in the FA Premier Academy League encounter at Spurs Lodge.
The statistics are becoming more and more impressive for Alex Inglethorpe's squad - it's now nine wins on the trot in all competitions, 12 matches unbeaten and they've won 13 of their last 15 since October 6.
Alex takes up the story. "Villa are top of our group and this is what I would describe as an A-grade game, a real test and the lads came through it.
"We actually scored the first goal against the run of play. We had a lot of the ball in our own half and ended up giving them a few chances through taking a few too many risks around our penalty area but then broke away and scored.
"It was a our first real attack, good work from Alex Smith down the right and his cross was handled for a penalty. David Hutton tucked it away.
"We did better in the second half and created a few chances. We went 2-0 up after Takura Mtandari showed great skill to cross with his left foot and Ryan Mason headed home.
"We had the chances to make it three and David Hutton forced a fine save from their keeper.
"They pulled a goal back for 2-1 with about five minutes left when we failed to deal with the second and third phases of a free-kick, but we were solid for the remainder of the game.
"I was delighted with our approach to the game and the win - this was a top team we were up against."
