I had no problems with my knee and came back for my first competitive reserve game against Southampton. It felt okay afterwards and I did the warm down but in the morning I felt a little pain behind my left knee.
It was a shock to have that pain. I couldn't believe it.
I had a small tear in my hamstring and it brought me down a little. It wasn't easy to be positive at the time but it's not the knee, so I can still look forward. It's disappointing but it's not too serious so I know I can smile again.
Hopefully I can start training fully again later this week and play for the reserves again next week.
ANYWAY, I have to say the start to the season has been perfect, especially as we haven't played so well. But we've picked up the points and that gives you the confidence to play better football later.
For me, it's better to win games against Villa, Southampton, West Ham than play well and lose in the end. Look at the table, 13 points, second position and from there we can look forward positively.
Also look at our squad now, a big squad, strong squad and the players playing now have done well and that is only positive for the future.
If you want to get into the top six you only have a chance with a strong squad, more than 20 strong players and it is good the club has brought in players so we can handle a situation where we have so many players out.
We have many central midfielders out but that has been no problem to the team and we are still winning games. That is good news for everyone.
I WOULD love to see a German team win the Champions League and a German-English final but Real Madrid have to be the top favourites again.
I don't know how many top players they've bought now but I think it is time to beat Real and this season it could be an English or German team again.
I hope an English team does well. We now have four teams in the Champions League and that is thanks to the work of the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Leeds and Chelsea. It means we can get into Europe straight with fifth place so it is good for Tottenham as well.
My old team Borussia Dortmund are back now. They have changed a lot of things and to be German champions, for me, is very, very strong.
To come back from a few bad years and to beat Bayern Munich is not easy.
I know the manager Matteus Sammer well, we used to play together and he deserves it. They played well in the UEFA Cup last season and I think they can do well again.
It has been a frustrating fortnight for me after things had gone so well.
