Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

The reserves recorded another success in the second of their friendly double-header during a break from competitive action, beating Aston Villa 2-1 at Spurs Lodge on Wednesday.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
A two-week break in the fixture list saw Colin Calderwood arrange behind-closed-doors action for his players, and the win over Villa followed a 2-1 victory over Gillingham last week.
17-year-old Academy starlet Lee Barnard opened the scoring with a first half strike, a score that was quickly doubled by Yannick Kamanan.
Lee takes up the story: “First half we played well and passed it around, but in the second we gave it away very cheaply. It was okay in the end and a good result.
“Villa had a very young side out. Apparently though, their central midfielder called Cook was drafted into the first team squad for their UEFA Cup tie with Varteks. It was a young team, but they passed it around nicely and it was a good football game.
“I scored in the first half and Yannick scored straight away afterwards.”
Lee, playing in his favoured striking role for the second string, will have done his chances of a repeat performance no harm at all by putting his name on the scoresheet in the absence of Steven Ferguson, away on first team squad duty.
“It got played through the defence by Ben Bowditch,” reflected Lee. “I latched onto it and took it around the keeper, hit it goalwards and luckily it went in.
“I was playing up front for the first time for the reserves, a first start in attack. I play there for the under-19s. Usually for the reserves I play in right midfield so it was nice to get a chance up front, nice to score as well.”
Anthony Gardner and Ben Thatcher continued their comebacks in the match and suffered no adverse reaction to their respective injuries.
