Already a huge favourite with our travelling fans, 'Postie' delivered again in the second half of a testing encounter against Wanderers..
Just over 20 minutes remained when Jamie Redknapp threaded the perfect pass through to the Portugese star who had plenty to do from the left side of the area but left Dave Beasant grasping with an arrowed drive into the top corner.
In doing so, Postiga had the last laugh against Beasant - who is still going strong at 44 and the difference between the sides for much of a one-sided first hour.
Beasant, who had three months on loan at the Lane back in 2001-02, denied us five times - most notably from the impressive Rohan Ricketts, Postiga and Kazu Toda - but typical of his position, he was to blame for our opening goal.
That came after 11 minutes when Christian Ziege whipped in a corner to the near post that Beasant failed to hold and the ball crept over the line..
Wycombe, up against it for long periods but always competitive, equalised within a minute.
Big striker Richard Harris should really have nodded home Stuart Roberts' fine cross but failed to connect only for Darren Currie to flash the ball straight back across goal where Harris tapped home from six yards.
The only note of concern was Christian Ziege's departure after 35 minutes, replaced by David Galbraith.
The second half brought no further changes from Glenn Hoddle and Redknapp, showing plenty of industry to go with his skills on the ball, had a couple of early digs to no avail.
Wycombe's best chance came after 57 minutes when the pacy Jermaine McSporran took off down the right and dug out a cross that deserved more than Harris' tame header wide..
Postiga's cracker arrived with 22 minutes left and he went close again before Davies sealed the win, cheekily flicking home Jamie Slabber's low cross with five minutes left.
Wycombe hit back late in the game as Billy Harding converted McSporran's low cross.
8mins: First real chance as Ricketts picked out Acimovic who was forced wide by the advancing Beasant and the move petered out.
10mins: Postiga quick feet drove into the box, toe-poke from 12 yards tipped aside by Beasant.
11mins: GOAL. Bizarre goal - Ziege's corner whipped into the near post, hit Beasant and went over line. 1-0.
12mins: GOAL. Harris failed to get head on Roberts' cross but Currie returned the ball at pace across the six-yard line and the same player diverted it home. 1-1.
14mins: Holligan half-chance from right corner but failed to lift it high enough over Sullivan.
25mins: Toda low shot from 18 yards palmed away by Beasant.
26mins: Beasant again at full stretch to deny Ricketts' dipping effort.
31mins: Redknapp fizzed a left-footer over from 25 yards.
32mins: The impressive Ricketts played a one-two with Davies but Beasant equal to drive from edge of the box.
35mins: SUB. Galbraith for Ziege.
39mins: Acimovic dinked ball through to Postiga, looked offside but no flag, Beasant blocked effort.
43mins: Acimovic delightful skill to beat Rogers only to blast into the stand.
Half-time: Wycombe 1-1 Spurs
46mins: Massive scramble but combination of Sullivan and defence keep Wycombe out.
49mins: Redknapp cut in from left but dragged shot wide.
53mins: Redknapp tested Beasant again, tricky bounce in front of the keeper from 20 yards but kept it out.
57mins: Lightning run from McSporran and superb cross but Harris failed to get decent head on it.
68mins: GOAL. Inch-perfect pass from Redknapp released Postiga into left channel of box, rifled shot into top corner from tight angle. 2-1.
71mins: Davies released Postiga again, first effort blocked by Beasant, second a superb block by Vinnicomb.
73mins: SUBS. Slabber for Postiga, Yeates for Acimovic.
84mins: GOAL. Slabber did well down the right channel, low cross cheekily flicked home by Davies. 3-1.
88mins: GOAL. Consolation for Wycombe as Harding converted McSporran's cross.
Line-ups: Wycombe: Beasant, Senda (Matthews, 74), Vinnicomb (Fontana, 74), Johnson (Brown, 45), Rogers (Harding, 65), Currie (Bulman, 45), Simpson (Cook, 45), Mapes (Thomson, 45), Harris (Dell, 74), Holligan (Antwei, 65), Roberts (McSporran, 45).
