Scott Parker expressed his delight at winning October's Player of the Month award.
The all-action midfielder was on international duty with England when the votes were counted.
Scott eventually edged out Rafa van der Vaart 46.74% to 38.63%.
That underlined how much the fans thought about Scott's performances as Rafa put together a run of scoring in five-successive matches in the Premier League in October.
The award was voted for by fans here on Xtra plus our social media sites on Facebook and @SpursOfficial on Twitter.
Back at Spurs Lodge on Thursday, Scott was quick to thank fans and, again, team-mates for their support.
"I’ve said before, especially when you first join a club, one thing you want to do is play well straight away and to be appreciated by the fans," he said. "That breeds confidence.
"I’m delighted to have won the award again, especially as I was up against some pretty tough opposition. A lot of the lads played well in the month.
"I’m just pleased we’re playing well and getting the results, that’s the most important thing."
Meanwhile, Scott's performance in England's win against world champions Spain won praise from all quarters, not least national boss Fabio Capello, who described it as 'incredible'.
"It was a very difficult game, we won it, but it was tough," added Scott.
"I was delighted with how it went and we won, to do that was important. It was a good 10 days away and I enjoyed it and now it's back to business at Spurs."
