Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

HAVING a little chat with Michael Carrick proved to be no easy task last week. Almost as soon as he sat down to chew the fat on recent events the disruptions started in earnest. First Martin Jol walked past and commented that Michael looked a little nervous, then Paul Robinson decided it would be a good wheeze to send the THTV camera for a tumble. That was not the end of it, Robbie Keane then joined us on the bench to do his Simon Cowell impression and ask Michael what he thought of the X-Factor. "I can't stand it," responded the bemused midfielder, who then got clonked on the head by a by a ball chucked by Robbo. Jermain Defoe then joined in the fun by sneaking up behind and ruffling Michael's hair - "You little rat - I'll smash you," added the midfielder before asking simply: "what is it with me?"

THEY MUST breed them tough in the West Country if this is Leigh Mills' idea of winter footwear. It was near freezing at Spurs Lodge but the young defender thought nothing of donning a pair of slippers and didn't even complain of Cold Feet!

ANOTHER key man on the playing staff is back in action after knee surgery. No, not Sean Davis, but goalkeeping coach Hans Segers, who went under the knife a few weeks ago. Hans has dived straight back into training - although that might be the only diving he'll do for the time being. "Everything is fine," he said. "It's been three weeks since the operation and I'm back to 70 per cent. I'm very pleased with the outcome, there was a problem with the cartilage but that's been solved now. I just have to take into consideration that I'm 43 and not 20 anymore!"

NOT ONLY was it great to see our Academy lads beat Forest in the FA Youth Cup at the Lane the other night, it was also nice to see them all scrub up so well for their big night. Midfielder Jamie O'Hara revealed to Scoop that coach Pat Holland had told everyone he wanted to see them 'suited up' for the night. Jamie explained: "We thought we're a team, we're going to be professional about and we're here to win, so we did it properly."

STILL ON the suited and booted theme, midfielder John Kyriacou (pictured with Danny Stevens) was one taken by surprise when informed of the sartorial requirement and had to rush out and buy one the night before. Whether his was one of the suits with the tags still on is unconfirmed...

WHILE Reto Ziegler has been wrapping up since August, Swedish star Erik Edman is basking in what feels to him like warm weather in December. Even the cold snap earlier this week at Spurs Lodge didn't get to him. "I wouldn't say it's summer but I can train in shorts and I don't freeze," Erik told Scoop. "If I was in Sweden right now I would have to wrap up like a Polar Bear otherwise I would freeze."
