Frank Arnesen and yourself will form a new management structure at Spurs. Is this a system you believe in, like Frank, and how do you see it working between you?
JS: When I had my interview, he and Daniel Levy defined very well the responsibilities and I will be exclusively in charge of things that happen on the pitch. My first contact with Frank was very good and I have no doubt that we can work together successfully.
Many people in England might remember the Liverpool-St Etienne clashes in the 70s. Were you playing in those games and what do you remember of the occasions?
JS: Oh yes! I remember perfectly the Liverpool-St Etienne games in 1977. It was 1-0 at our ground and 3-1 over there. I played in both of them and the return in England unfortunately went against us with the third goal being decisive.
You have a huge challenge coming up before joining Spurs - what is the mood in the French camp?
JS: The climate is very serious, we have lots of confidence in our methods and we think we will do well. We are not going to assume we will win it as there are other teams of a high calibre.
