The serious business has already been sorted in Group K – we’re through as group winners while Anji cannot be caught in the second qualifying spot.
But with a 100 per cent record in the competition to protect as we host Anji at the Lane, our charismatic midfielder has no doubts about the team’s priorities.
“We have to win every game,” Sandro said. “It’s one more game but we will do our best.
“We have to win every game to make ourselves even stronger for the next one and we are in the right position to do this.”
The draw for the Round of 32 takes place on Monday, with eight teams from the Champions League set to join the sides who have qualified from the Europa League groups.
And, always up for a challenge, Sandro is confident we can mount another extended run on the continent with the ultimate aim of lifting the trophy.
“To win this competition would be very good,” he added. “We have a great team so we just need to play to win as many games as we can.
“It’s a great opportunity for us to win this competition.”
