Sandro won the praise of Harry Redknapp after another outstanding performance against AC Milan on Wednesday night.
The Brazilian international's partnership with Wilson Palacios in central midfield was key in our first leg triumph at the San Siro in this Champions League, last 16 tie.
He was back alongside Luka Modric for the second leg at the Lane and appeared to cover every blade of grass again as we fought out a goalless draw to progress to the quarter-finals 1-0 on aggregate.
Still only 21, Sandro won the South American version of the Champions League, the Copa Libertadores, with his previous team and club partners Internacional last year.
Now he's caught the eye on the big stage of European club football.
"I thought Sandro was immense in midfield," said Harry after another glory, glory night at the Lane.
"He's powerful, strong, aggressive. He’s got the ability to run and work for 90 minutes and I felt he turned in a great performance for us.
"He’s in the Brazilian squad and a young player with a big future."
