Ryan Mason scored four goals as our Spurs XI team beat Sports & Future Football Academy from Holland 7-2 in a friendly at Spurs Lodge on Wednesday.

The forward was in fine form in front of goal and bagged a second half hat-trick as we scored the goals that reflected our dominance in the final half-hour.

Sports & Future Football Academy (FFA) is similar to Glenn Hoddle's Academy, offering a route back into the game for players who haven't made the breakthrough at their professional club.

John Bostock fired us into an early lead before Mason looped home a header from Dean Parrett's cross for 2-0 inside 15 minutes.

There were no more goals in the first half and FFA got back into the game from the penalty spot in the 53rd minute.

It didn't take long for Mason to make it 3-1, darting in at the near post to finish after good work down the left byline by Cameron Lancaster.

FFA replied again from close range for 3-2 just before the hour mark but we then took over.

Recently back from a loan spell at Doncaster, Mason completed his hat-trick when he was sent clean through by Lancaster on 61 minutes and then Lancaster finished well one-on-one for 5-2.

Mason slotted home from the spot after FFA were penalised for handball and Massimo Luongo completed the scoring after bursting through the middle for 7-2 with five minutes remaining.

Spurs XI: Miles; Stewart, Veljkovic, Nicholson, Bostock; Pritchard, Luongo, Parrett, Dawkins; Mason; Lancaster.
