Our 1-0 win at White Hart Lane represented Rubin Kazan's only defeat in eight matches - and they are determined to take maximum points in Russia tonight.

Roman Pavlyuchenko's thunderbolt free-kick accounted for his compatriots at the Lane on October 20.

The team from Tartarstan bounced back with a fine win on their travels at high-flying Dynamo Moscow in the Russian Premier League on October 24.

However, Rubin were held by mid-table Rostock at home on Friday, October 28 and now sit sixth in the Russian Premier League.

Of more immediate concern to boss Kerban Berdyev is the Europa League with his side third in Group A as we prepare to meet in Matchday Four at the Central Stadium.

We're top of the group after wins against Rubin, Shamrock and a draw at PAOK - victory tonight will guarantee our place in the last 32 of the competition.

Greek side PAOK are second on five points with Rubin third and Shamrock bottom.

Asked if he would be satisfied with a draw tonight, Rubin boss Kurban Berdyev insisted: "No. Our aim is to win.

"There were no (injury) losses from the last match, we've had time to recover. We are in good shape. Our preparation is serious."

In tonight's other group match, Shamrock play host to PAOK in Dublin.
