It started with him waking up with red hair and finished with a superb volley with his right foot to secure our 2-0 win against Hull at the Lane.
“My hair went wrong - it was meant to go purple!” Danny told Spurs TV immediately afterwards. “I woke up this morning and it turned red!
“Etienne Capoue has this colour hair but he’s not been involved recently so not many people have seen it otherwise they would say I’ve copied him! I think I’ll have to go back to the drawing board!”
Danny’s goal clinched the points but he was quick to point out the importance of the opener set up by Erik Lamela for Nacer Chadli to finish in style.
“Erik had a brilliant game and it was a great pass to find Nacer and he showed exactly why he’s scored so many goals this season, it was a nice finish and his goals have been very important for us,” he added.
“That set us up to find the second goal and we did that.
“It was a great move, Ryan did well to find me in the box and I managed to finish it. That put an end to a hard game for us and we deserved the three points.
“We were professional to see it out and give Hugo a clean sheet he deserves.”
