Jonathan Woodgate has experience of facing AS Roma and insisted: "It's a great test."
The defender was part of the Leeds United team that beat the Italian giants in the fourth round of the 1999-2000 UEFA Cup competition.
Just 20 at the time, ‘Woody' helped his side to a goalless draw at Elland Road before a famous 1-0 win at the Stadio Olimpico. Leeds progressed to the semi-finals, where they were knocked out by Galatasaray.
"They were fantastic games," recalled Woody, before emphasing the quality of opponent we'll face at a packed White Hart Lane on Sunday.
"Roma are a top outfit, they nearly won the Italian League last season, beat the champions Inter Milan to win the Italian Cup and also did well in the Champions League.
"They have real talent in the likes of Phillippe Mexes, de Rossi, Pizzaro and of course Totti if he's fit.
"They will put men behind the ball but with their quality they will look to break quickly and will be dangerous. That's why it's a great test for us."
