Paul Robinson reported that his reflexes and reactions are in usual working order after making his pre-season return against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.

The England goalkeeper made his first appearance of our preparation programme at the Westfalenstadion, his first outing since the national team made their World Cup exit a short distance away in Gelsenkirchen at the beginning of July.

He has clearly lost nothing during his time away and the Lane favourite made several superb stops to thwart Dortmund ambitions of winning the contest.

"I felt good and didn't feel like I'd been away - it was nice to get a first game under my belt," said Robbo afterwards.

"It has been four or five weeks, but hasn't felt that long as I have been training well and kept myself sharp.

"It is a great stadium, a great team and it was always going to be difficult. We played well," he contined, before adding that he believes the team are in a good shape for the challenges ahead.

"We looked alright, but friendlies are always going to be difficult with the changes. It was another good result in pre-season against a team who had superb backing for a pre-season game - similar to ours at White Hart Lane."
