"I am delighted to be associated with the names who have already scored 100 goals or more for Tottenham," said the striker. "The most important thing was getting the three points, it is not about me.
"I love scoring goals, but I am pleased it is out of the way, to be honest. People were talking about it but now I can just get on and play my football," he added, before reflecting on the 2-0 victory.
"We rode our luck at times and you need to be lucky. We dominated the first half, but credit to Sunderland, they came out in the second half and made it really difficult for us. Radek Cerny pulled off a couple of great saves, but it was a good team effort.
"The other pleasing factor was the clean sheet, which is very important to us."
