Robbie Keane concentrated on the positives after expressing the lads' disappointment in losing Saturday's friendly against Orlando Pirates.
The South African Premier League champions won 2-1 at the ABSA Stadium in Durban thanks to a late penalty from hitman Lesley Manyathela.
Pirates had earlier taken the lead thanks to Steve Lekoelea's superb free-kick after 75 minutes only for defender Felix Musasa to turn Helder Postiga's shot into his own net to level the scores a minute later.
"Of course you want to win every game," Robbie told the press afterwards. "But the most important thing for us is fitness for the start of Premiership in three weeks.
"We're professionals and we don't want to lose any games - friendly or Premiership. We're all winners, we want to win and we're all disappointed to lose.
"It was a tough game. They were strong, physical and we knew that before the game.
"But a few positive things have come out of it, a couple of younger lads played and that can only help us."
