Robbie Keane hailed a 'tremendous' performance against Aston Villa on Sunday and revealed it was one the boys felt was coming.
Two goals from Fredi Kanoute, along with strikes from Ledley King, Andy Reid and Stephen Kelly put Villa to the sword and slotted us back into seventh place in the Premiership table.
The result provided the perfect tonic with the trip to Middlesbrough - who are level pegging, points-wise, in the standings - looming next week.
"Obviously it is tremendous," reflected Robbie. "The way we played, especially in the first half, was brilliant with the way we passed and moved the ball.
"Full credit to the lads, it was important to get the three points and luckily enough we got them.
"A few of the lads were saying after the game that a result like that was coming with the way we've been playing. We've had chances in games that haven't been taken and here everything seemed to go in.
"The boys worked their socks off but a special mention for Simon Davies who I thought was absolutely superb."
