Robbie Keane remarked that the 2-0 win over City was probably our best away performance of the season.

It was a fourth win on our travels this season, following victories at Portsmouth, Charlton and Wigan and we are fast approaching last season's total of five win 17 games remaining.

Robbie also managed to add to his impressive recent goal tally which has seen him net five goals in eight games.

"It was a great result - probably our best performance away from home this season,"reflected the captain for the night afterwards. "I think we controlled the first half and played some tremendous football.

It was always going to be difficult in the second half when they came out and tried to break us down but, credit to the lads, it was a good team performance

Going into the FA Cup weekend we sit in fourth place six points clear of Arsenal and Wigan, with the former having a game in hand.

"It is no fluke where we are, we have great players in the squad and a good mixture of young players and experienced ones. We are in our position on merit, we are doing very well and long may it continue.

"If we carry on playing the way we did here we have got a good chance of doing things."
