Tottenham Hotspur Foundation recently hosted the London Table Tennis Cup at Ellenborough Table Tennis Club in Enfield as part of the Premier League 4 Sport programme.
A total of 40 participants took part, representing Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, Chelsea and West Ham communities.
The day was split into three divisions with the following players, all of which have been attending the Premier League 4 Sport sessions at Ellenborough, representing Tottenham Hotspur.
From Oasis Academy, Kieron Burton, Charlie Skeggs, Sophie Doyle, and Xavier Plowright, and from Edmonton County Schools, Dipesh Jackev, Charlie Barrow, Brandon Thompson, Robert Symms and Erkin Salih.
Throughout the day the competition was tight with all four clubs playing well and fighting hard for the top spot. Tottenham Hotspur was crowned champions in Division 2 and came a close second in Division 1 and third in the Premiership.
Charlie Skeggs said: "Today was my second major competition representing Tottenham Hotspur Foundation and I really enjoyed it.”
Robbie Payne-Inglis, Tottenham Hotspur Foundation and ETTA London Regional Disability Coach, said: "It was great working with the other Premier League clubs on this great event and it was a good opportunity to showcase our Table Tennis hub club, Ellenborough, as it is great competitive venue for young people all over London. We look forward to continuing the London Table Tennis Cup next year."
Jane Barella, ETTA London Regional Coach, said: “There were some talented young players with a real desire to win. The competition had a great atmosphere and was played with good spirit and passion.”
