Harry Redknapp said Alan Hutton 'has everything' after the full-back played a key role in Saturday's 3-1 win against Wolves.
The Scottish international entered the fray just before half-time for the injured Younes Kaboul.
We trailed 1-0 going into half-time and Alan stated his intent on his first apeparance of the season by curling inches wide just minutes into the second half.
In the 77th minute, his run forward paved the way for the crucial equalising goal. He was upended by Stephen Ward and Rafael van der Vaart made no mistake from the penalty spot.
Roman Pavlyuchenko got our noses in front with just four minutes left and Alan completed the scoring with a solo effort in added time, eventually charging down Richard Stearman's attempted clearance and seeing the ball loop home.
"Alan was excellent and that's the kind of form he's capable of," said Harry.
"He's a great attacking full-back, he's got everything. He's a great athlete and when he gets forward he's got unbelievable pace, he's aggressive, he's quick, it's all there.
"Younes was excellent in the first half at right-back but he went off injured and Alan was fantastic. It was a top-class performance.
"He's got it all to be a top player and when he gets into his stride and gets forward like he did in the second half he takes some stopping.
"It's up to him to push on now."
