Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Ricardo Villa was back at White Hart Lane on Friday to collect the first Subbuteo Football award for the &lsquo&#59;Best Goal in British Footballing History.<P class=MsoNormal><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt&#59; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt">Ricky&rsquo&#59;s 1981 wonder run and goal saw off challenges from Gazza and David Beckham and he was presented with a golden statue going on to attempt to re-create the goal on a Subbuteo table.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p></SPAN><P class=MsoNormal><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt&#59; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt">Ricky&rsquo&#59;s fingers do not have the same verve as his feet and he missed his first two attempts on the table.<o:p></o:p></SPAN><P class=MsoNormal><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt&#59; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt">&ldquo&#59;When I live in Argentina nobody really knows about that goal, when I come here everybody&rsquo&#59;s talking about it,&rdquo&#59; he quipped before giving interviews to Radio Five Live, Sky, Capital Radio and Garth Crooks for Football Focus.<o:p></o:p></SPAN><P class=MsoNormal><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt&#59; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt">&ldquo&#59;He is a lovely, lovely man and is held in such great affection by the public,&rdquo&#59; said Garth. &ldquo&#59;And it was a great goal.&rdquo&#59;<o:p></o:p></SPAN><P class=MsoNormal><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt&#59; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt">The timing of the Big Man&rsquo&#59;s visit was bound to stir up fond old memories with a new Cup campaign kicking off today. Ricky has a hunch that all roads could lead to Cardiff in May.<o:p></o:p></SPAN><P class=MsoNormal><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt&#59; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt">&ldquo&#59;This is the start of the FA Cup and I believe that Spurs have a chance to go into the final. If they do, I back them and I want to see that game.&rdquo&#59;<o:p></o:p></SPAN><P class=MsoNormal><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt&#59; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt">Ricky witnessed an exciting spectacle on Tuesday and had this reaction to his moving reception at half-time: &ldquo&#59;Great, great, it&rsquo&#59;s impossible to explain that feeling inside. I have to say thank you to the club and to the Spurs supporters.<o:p></o:p></SPAN><P class=MsoNormal><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt&#59; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt">&ldquo&#59;It was a good game, Spurs decided to win and the team played well, scored goals and looked very, very quick, fast with the ball &mdash&#59; I enjoyed the game.<o:p></o:p></SPAN><P class=MsoNormal><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt&#59; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt">&ldquo&#59;I like the number nine, Les Ferdinand. He played really well, good movement, good passer of the ball &mdash&#59; he played really, really well.
