The 19-year-old has jumped up from the Under-21 squad following his performances at Spurs after his move from Grasshoppers Zurich in August.
Reto made his first team debut at Everton in October and has played 24 games since, scoring his first and only goal so far in the 5-1 win against Everton at the Lane in January.
"I'm very pleased and I think I've got this chance because I've played so many games at Spurs," reflected Reto after hearing the news. "I think I've played quite well and this is a big chance for me.
"Hopefully I'll play and show what I can do for my country. France is one of the biggest teams in Europe and it will be a very difficult game.
"If I play, I'm sure it will be one of the best game you can play for a debut, a dream come true."
Reto Ziegler has been called into the senior Switzerland squad for World Cup qualifiers against France and Cyprus.
