The Swiss youngster pulled up a couple of minutes before half-time at Selhurst Park and will know early next week the exact extent of the injury.
Head Coach Martin Jol indicated it would be two to six weeks and Reto added: "I was deeply disappointed to have to come off and miss the second half, I felt it was going well at the time and I wanted to be out there.
"We've got an excellent medical team at Spurs so hopefully I'll be back soon.
"The club has looked after me well and I was surprised to see some inaccurate reporting that I'm homesick and not liking London.
"In actual fact, I said the good thing about living in Chigwell and being close to Spurs Lodge is that I can concentrate on my football.
"I've also got my mother here with me at the moment, which is a huge support. I'm thoroughly enjoying my time at Tottenham and the club has made me feel very welcome."
We'll bring you news on Reto's injury as soon as we know...
