4mins: Good spell of possession ends with Defoe's 25-yarder deflected just wide for a corner.

6mins: Fulop out quickly to save at feet of Jerome as the striker attempted to get onto Campbell's pass.

6mins: Play switched straight up the other end as Keane flashed a shot just wide.

7mins: Berbatov's first sight of goal, Defoe slid pass into him 18 yards out and he hit low drive that Maik Taylor held low to his right.

9mins: Speculative effort from Defoe, picked up bouncing ball fully 35 yards out, spotted Maik Taylor off his line and hit immediate volley that didn't quite carry.

10mins: CHANCE. Opportunity knocked for Dawson to open his account - Routledge dinked cross in as Birmingham pushed out following a corner, Dawson onside and clear, brought the ball down well but low shot from the angle saved by Maik Taylor's feet.

12mins: GOAL - BERBATOV. Reward for early pressure and Berbatov's first goal. Keane got hold of ball from quick free-kick and picked out Berbatov's clever run between Kelly and Martin Taylor, Berbatov fine control on chest and finished low across Maik Taylor into bottom corner.

14mins: GOAL - BERBATOV. Absolute stunner from the Bulgarian. Ghaly again provided the pass and Berbatov this time controlled on thigh before smashing a thunderbolt of a volley that rocketed past Maik Taylor and home off the underside of the crossbar.

17mins: Huddlestone fizzed a 25-yarder just over.

19mins: Huddlestone again tried his luck, this time sliced wide from similar distance.

20mins: Important defensive header from Dawson as Jerome tried to get on to Pennant's cross.

21mins: CHANCE. Another slick passing move from back to front, Defoe onto Keane's pass but impossible angle, Maik Taylor out to meet him and saved with his feet.

22mins: CHANCE. Ghaly's cross from our right missed by Martin Taylor handed Defoe sharp chance on the half-volley that he fired just over from 16 yards.

24mins: Fulop comfortable save diving to his right from Campbell.

27mins: Another fine clearance from Dawson after Pennant wriggled his way clear down our left and drove low cross across goal.

29mins: Dunn fierce drive over after Pennant's corner evaded everyone.

34mins: CHANCE. More good possession this time ended with Routledge's deflected cross landing perfectly for Tainio who headed wide from eight yards.

38mins: Keane threaded pass inside Sadler to onrushing Routledge, couldn't quite take it in his stride and Maik Taylor out to collect.
