We travel to Nottingham Forest’s City Ground for a FA Premier Reserve League encounter with Sol Campbell, Ian Walker, Steffen Freund (pictured), Chris Armstrong, Willem Korsten, Simon Davies, Matthew Etherington, Anthony Gardner and Gary Doherty all expected to play.
But boss Chris Hughton has warned that fielding such a strong side could simply fire up the opposition.
“What tends to happen is that you go there and if Nottingham Forest are a younger, less experienced side they will take a look at that side and it will be an incentive for them to go out and win the game.
“So it’s all about not trying to be complacent with what we’ve got out on the pitch and get out of the game what we need out of the game.
“I’m expecting a difficult game,” he added. “Forest are a side like Derby that has done well at reserve team level.
“They have a lot of good young professionals as we found to our detriment last season when we lost a game 3-1 at their place after going with quite a good side. As with most games in this league I expect a hard game.”
Kick-off at the City Ground is 7pm.
The reserve side set to take the pitch on Tuesday night wouldn’t look out of place in the Premiership.
