Reserves called off

Posted on 27 November 2000 - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Our reserve team clash against Arsenal was postponed just 30 minutes before kick-off on Monday night due to a waterlogged pitch at Boreham Wood FC.
Boss Chris Hughton (pictured) commented: “The pitch itself was fine but the goalmouths were a bit sticky and the referee deemed it too dangerous to play. It was a shame because we wanted to keep our recent run of form going and at the end of the day we had a strong side out and it’s all about playing games for these players.”
It was potentially a decent match up with Ian Walker, Ramon Vega, Steffen Freund, Willem Korsten and Chris Armstrong all set to play for us and the likes of Stuart Taylor, Matthew Upson, Ashley Cole, Paolo Vernazza and Graham Barratt appearing for the Gunners.
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
