Reserves back in action

Posted on 22 October 2001  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Colin Calderwood's reserve side chase their third win of the season at Stevenage Borough on Monday evening as Coventry City provide the opposition.

Despite fielding strong sides and playing with verve and commitment, the reserves have not secured their just rewards in their last two outings.

A single goal defeat at Southampton, where the woodwork was hit no less than four times, and a 2-2 draw at home to West Ham have been the outcomes.

Another strong team will take the field at Stevenage for the second of three home games in a row, Watford being next up on Monday October 29.

Sergei Rebrov and Yannick Kamanan lead the attack in a team that also includes Kasey Keller, Ben Thatcher, Goran Bunjevcevic, Oyvind Leonhardsen, Tim Sherwood and Anthony Gardner.

Notable names in the Coventry side are Barry Quinn, Paul Telfer, Marc Edworthy and Gavin Strachan.

Team: Keller, Piercy, Thatcher, Thelwell, Gardner, Bunjevcevic, Leonhardsen, Sherwood, Kamanan, Etherington, Rebrov. Subs: Consorti, Kelly, Snee, Toner, Sutton.
