Eight Academy players are in the squad to face Manchester United in the Barclays Premiership Reserve League Play-Off Final, a one-off encounter between the Southern and Northern champions.
They are joined by Goran Bunjevcevic, the most experienced player in the 17, Dean Marney, Johnnie Jackson and reserve regulars Charlie Lee, Kieran McKenna and Andy Barcham.
"There are a few lads who have played regularly for the reserves who will have to miss out because they could figure at West Ham on Sunday," said development coach Clive Allen.
"I'm talking about the likes of Lee Barnard, Andy Reid, Stephen Kelly, Calum Davenport and Tom Huddlestone - they will all be in consideration for the first team and that's all-important.
"That maybe depletes us experience-wise for a game like this but it is a fantastic opportunity for a number of the younger lads who have played throughout this season and done exceptionally well.
"They've taken their opportunities well, shown what they are capable of and now is the chance to play on a big stage in what for many of them will be the biggest game of their careers so far.
"It's a big game for everyone - from Goran, the most experienced member of the squad to Johnnie Jackson and Dean Marney, who have played in the Premiership to someone like Leigh Mills or Alex Smith who come into the squad and perhaps it's the first time they've been to Old Trafford.
"I'm sure it will be a fantastic night for everyone."
The play-off final kicks-off at 7.30pm at Old Trafford.
Squad: Burch, Forecast, Lee, Bunjevcevic, McKie, McKenna, Jackson, Marney, Dawkins, Lewis, Barcham, Maghoma, Martin, Hamed, Smith, Riley, Mills.
