Mounir El-Hamdaoui and Andy Reid made their comebacks from injury but, once again, it was Lee Barnard who added to his impressive goal tally as the reserves overcame Fulham by a 4-0 scoreline on Tuesday evening.

On what was a bitterly cold and foggy evening at Fulham's Motspur Park training facility, Clive Allen's team made it seven wins in a row and the outcome was never really in doubt from the 17th minute when Barnard opened the scoring. From the throw in from the right, the striker spun in the area and fired low into the bottom right hand corner of the net past goalkeeper Mark Davidson.

Before the breakthrough, both teams were a little slow out of the blocks in what was a strange atmosphere - with the only real sound being the communication of the players on the pitch.

It was then pretty much one-way traffic, with Barnard twice going close to increasing the margin and El-Hamdaoui nearly marking his return with a goal.

Surprisingly it took until first half stoppage time for the advantage to be doubled - but it was well worth waiting for.

Goran Bunjevcevic ambled forward with the ball and reached roughly the midway point in the Fulham half before taking aim and arrowing the ball into the top right hand corner of the net.

Fulham rallied a little at the beginning of the second period without really troubling Robert Burch in our goal. They were deflated, however, on 65 minutes when Reid cleverly threaded the ball into the path of the advancing Kieran McKenna who, without much to aim at from the right side of the area, somehow squeezed his rising drive inbetween goalkeeper Davidson and his left hand upright to make it 3-0.

The scoring was completed with a sweet move five minutes from time when Reid chipped the ball into the area where it was met by Calum Davenport who unselfishly played it back in the direction of Barnard who netted his 17th goal of the season.

Team: Burch, Bunjevcevic, Jackson, McKenna, Lee, Davenport, Barcham, Maghoma (Lewis 67), Barnard, El-Hamdaoui (Dawkins 80), Reid. Subs not used: McKie, Forecast (GK), Martin.
