Reserve reflections

Posted on 18 June 2004  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Clive Allen, reserve team coach last season, continues to offer his thoughts and reflections on the performances of his major players and emerging talent in 2003-04...

Marcel McKie: 16 (2) appearances
Clive Allen: "Marcel had a problem with injury towards the end of the season but another young player with undoubted talent and that shows with the amount of games he actually played."

Jamie O'Hara: 4 (9) appearances, 1 goal
Clive Allen: "Introduced into the reserve team group last season. A 17-year-old with a lovely left foot, nice balance and an understanding of the game. Whatever company you put him in, even the first team group, he has confidence in his ability and will get better and better. When he physically matures he will be an outstanding prospect."

Rohan Ricketts: 12 appearances, 3 goals
Clive Allen: "His enthusiasm is second to none. On his day he's a world beater and we've seen that in the first team and reserves but it's the consistency of performance we want and need him to strive for. It's been a pleasure to work with him and he is an outstanding talent if he can harness it in the right way."
