In the final home game of the season at Stevenage, Spurs put the Dons to the sword and fully deserved the convincing win courtesy of goals from Milenko Acimovic, Rohan Ricketts and sub Mark Yeates.
For Colin's boys, the win represented a third straight victory and five wins out of seven with one draw.
"It was good - the periods we played well, we played very well I thought," beamed Colin. "There were instances of real good play throughout the first half and bits and pieces in the second.
"We want, and you would like more and more, but you are never going to get 45 minutes of everything going perfect for you. All the same, they moved the ball pretty well in the first half and were quite incisive when the opportunity arose to go forward.
"We earned the right to play that way, a lot of it was quite good and the young boys did alright again."
Colin Calderwood could not hide his satisfaction over the performance of the reserve team after the 3-1 victory over Wimbledon on Monday evening.
