The Club can announce that it has completed the transfer of Andy Reid from Nottingham Forest.
Reid says he is delighted to finally join Spurs after a year of being linked with a switch to White Hart Lane and did not hide his pleasure over realising his dream of signing and playing in the Premiership.
"I am just delighted to get it done," beamed the 22-year-old. "It has been talked about for a long time and now I am thrilled that is has all gone through. I am looking forward to playing Premiership football.
"I had no hesitation over signing, Tottenham is such a big club and I like the way the chairman, Frank and Martin have transformed things. They are bringing lots of young players through and I just want to be part of that."
Andy admits that playing on the Premiership stage will help him continue to fulfil his international ambitions with the Republic in the process of attempting to qualify for the 2006 World Cup.
"It is important on the international front as well. If you are playing Premiership football it gives you more of a chance to play every game on the international scene.
"My main priority at the moment is to try and win a place in the Spurs team. I have watched the team and have been very impressed, it is a young team developing and I feel they are getting better all the time.
"I am excited and looking forward to coming in and meeting all the lads for training. I haven't spoken to Robbie yet, but I will do. I'm good mates with him and Stephen Kelly as well.
