Broadwater Farm Primary School travelled to Swindon Town Football Club on Thursday 11th March and represented Tottenham Hotspur FC in the Regional Final of the Kellogg’s Frosties U11 Cup.
The competition initially started with 3,000 school teams with Broadwater Farm School getting down to the last eight by winning the Area Final in Southend against opposition such as: Charlton, West Ham Utd, Norwich & Millwall.
The day at Swindon was a great success, the boys narrowly missed out on playing in the National Final, which was played at the Millennium Stadium as part of the pre match entertainment at the LDV Vans Trophy Final on Sunday March 21st by just one goal.
In reaching the Regional Final the Tottenham Hotspur team received Kellogg’s goodies as well as a full kit for their school.
Sarah Kessack Tottenham Hotspur Community Area Co-ordinator was really pleased with getting so for in the competition. She said:
“Broadwater Farm School did fantastically well to reach the last eight of this National competition and were so close to getting down to the last two and playing at the Millennium Stadium, well done to all the boys who competed”
