Redknapp off the box

Posted on 13 June 2002  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Jamie Redknapp has completed his World Cup television duties duties and is now relishing the prospect of becoming a footballer again.

Our new midfielder has been working for the BBC during the tournament and has made a favourable impression in his pundits role alongside the likes of Alan Hansen, Peter Reid and Martin O'Neill.

He enjoyed the summer diversion and is now off to La Manga with the rest of the Spurs first team squad for a training camp before heading off on holiday ahead of pre-season.

"It's nice to do for a little while and is good to do," said Jamie on his TV work.

"I want to concentrate on staying fit and getting ready for the football next season now.

"Being a pundit is alright to do for a little while but I'm a footballer at the end of the day."

Jamie admits that watching the World Cup has really given him the urge to kick a ball again and start playing games for Spurs.

"I can't wait. I've been training over this last week and I'm feeling quite good. I'm just looking forward to getting going now really."
