The two previous visits to Anfield have bought much credit and no reward - this time a point was logged on our Premiership account and the skipper was quick with his praise for the efforts of the team.
"I was delighted. It was a tough game and we had to defend for periods, but they didn't have that many chances and it was a big result for us," beamed Jamie, who added that the team worked hard from front to back.
"They did and it was a real team performance where we showed a lot of character. It's been a good week for us with the Leeds result and now a point at Liverpool - brilliant. It was a good result and Gerard Houllier said he was impressed with us."
The one concern of the evening was the yellow cards being waved by referee Mr Rennie, with five Spurs players walking the tightrope for long periods.
"I was a bit worried. I got booked early on for a tackle and was a bit concerned, but we dug in and got through.
"I'm really looking forward to Saturday now."
Jamie Redknapp was as proud as punch after leading the team to a fully deserved share of the spoils against Liverpool at Anfield on Wednesday night.
