Record turnout at Wembley

Posted on 16 September 2016  - 06:15

A big thank you to our fans who made it a record-breaking night at Wembley Stadium, connected by EE, on Wednesday.

An attendance of 85,011 for the UEFA Champions League Group E match against AS Monaco beat our previous record home gate of 75,038 set in an FA Cup tie with Sunderland at the Lane back in 1938.

It was also the highest home attendance in history for an English club in the competition as our fans once again showed why they are the best in the world, creating an incredible atmosphere despite us not getting the result we wanted on the night.

We’re back at the national stadium on Wednesday, November 2, against Bayer Leverkusen when there will no doubt be another fantastic turnout. Register your interest here.
