Rebrov, just back from a visit to his Ukraine home, was astounded to read today’s report in which he is said to have criticised Hoddle’s management style.
“I did speak to a local reporter in Kiev but what has subsequently been written is total rubbish,” says Sergei.
“Maybe the translation has been the problem but I have not criticised Spurs nor made a personal attack on Glenn Hoddle.
“Obviously I want to play but I understand the situation here and am happy to stay at Spurs and fight for a place.I want to justify my large transfer fee and that remains my aim, I am certainly not negative about being a Tottenham player.”
Sergei Rebrov has denied launching a newspaper attack on Spurs manager Glenn Hoddle.
