Radek Cerny believes a win against Sunderland will be absolutely vital if we want to start moving in the right direction up the table.

Despite being in the bottom three, Roy Keane’s side are only four points behind us in the table, so our goalkeeper has warned anyone against getting in a comfort zone.

But Radek believes taking advantage of our home games and turning White Hart Lane into a fortress will be the key to a strong second half of the season.

He said: “This is a very important game because they have 20 points and we have 24 points, so we have to beat teams in this position if we want to improve our league position.

“The next couple of league games are Everton away and Manchester United at home, which are difficult games, so this may look like an easier game but it’s not.

“Sunderland are always a hard-working team and there are no easy games in this league. This will be very tough.

“Last season we did well because we were very strong at home, and I think we need to be the same in the second half of this season.”
