This week marks the annual week of action against racism. The theme this year is "One Game, One Community" and all the Players, Directors and Staff here at the Club are committed to ensuring that we are doing everything in our power to bring communities together by reaching out to all races, cultures and religions.

This week marks the annual week of action against racism. The theme this year is "One Game, One Community" and all the Players, Directors and Staff here at the Club are committed to ensuring that we are doing everything in our power to bring communities together by reaching out to all races, cultures and religions.

As part of our commitment to fighting racism at all levels, the Club is currently working towards the preliminary level of The Racial Equality Standard for Professional Football Clubs, which is awarded by Kick It Out. As a Club that sits proudly in one of the most ethnically diverse areas in Europe, the Racial Equality Standard is an important step in the development of our work against racism. It provides us with a strategic framework for the work we do in this area and is just the start of formalising what is an on-going commitment. We are proud of the work we have done to date. Through our Community Scheme, we continually work to promote social inclusion and encourage tolerance and understanding of all sections of the community.

However, we recognise that more can be done to ensure that we play a full and effective role in tackling racism at all levels. Part of this additional work includes the development of a detailed Racial Equality Action Plan. The aim of the Action Plan is to ensure that equality practices are integral to every process so that we can create an inclusive and positive environment for everyone who comes into contact with our Club. We are committed to providing all our stakeholders equality of opportunity in all the things we do.

At half time of our game against West Ham on Sunday, we will make a clear public commitment to achieving racial equality at Tottenham Hotspur by formally signing our Racial Equality Action Plan.
