“I said after Sunday (his debut at Sunderland) that I can play much better and I don’t know if I played much better but I’m really happy we won on my Spurs (home) debut and I scored two goals, I’m very happy,” said Sonny afterwards.
“The first half wasn’t 100 per cent, we were 1-0 down and we can play much better, but we were happy to win.
“The first goal was so quick for me, Andros crossed the corner and the ball came to me, a bit of a surprise. Dele is a nice player, he’s young and talented. I like him as a player, I understand him well.
“The fans were amazing! We have three home games to come and we want to win them. We will try hard, work hard and we’ll see.”

It was suggested that Sonny had set the bar high with his two-goal home debut. “It’s impossible to score in every game," he smiled. "But I will try 100 per cent to play my best and we’ll see if I score on Sunday.”
