Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Welcome to a new feature for a new season. Following on from our successful Celebrity Challenge in last year’s matchday programme, this time we’ve extended the prediction fun to six groups of Tottenham related people - our fans, staff, ex-players, celebrity fans, boxholders and the media.

A different person will represent each group every programme and they will put their footballing knowledge on the line by attempting to predict the score of our match on that day. The six groups will be competing against each other to find out who really knows the most about football! There’s no prize money on offer, just the prestige and honour of being Tottenham’s top tipsters!

To start us off we have six people predicting the outcome of today’s match against Liverpool, including actor Roger Lloyd-Pack of Only Fools and Horses and The Vicar of Dibley fame, former midfield star Micky Hazard and Pete Stevens, from our new radio partners BBC London, who will be providing full match commentary for all of our matches this season via our website, with a selection live on their station at 94.9FM.

There will be 10 points for a correct scoreline, five points for correct result. Let battle commence!

Jeff Adu, 34, from Whetstone, London
We had a poor pre-season, but pre-seasons are not always about results, it gives a new manager an idea on who his best starting XI will be. We have a good home record against Liverpool although they have started well with victory on Tuesday night. I think it will be a draw. Come on you Spurs!
Prediction: Spurs 1 Liverpool 1

Terry Giddings, Head of Security, WHL
We’ve got a few new players and they might take time to gel, while Liverpool are very strong in midfield. I think it will be a very close game, although we’ve got Jermain Defoe and he’s on fire at the moment. I’m going for a draw though.
Prediction: Spurs 1 Liverpool 1

Micky Hazard, Spurs 1980-94
This could be a good time to play Liverpool. I watched them the other night against Graz AK and thought they looked a little bit in disarray. If we can stop Steven Gerrard, there’s every chance we could start with a win this afternoon.
Prediction: Spurs 2 Liverpool 1

Roger Lloyd-Pack, Actor
I’m going to be cautious and go for a draw. Even when we play poorly we usually do manage to get a result against Liverpool. I suppose in view of our pre-season results anything could happen this afternoon, but if I had to put my shirt on it, I’d go for the draw.
Prediction: Spurs 1 Liverpool 1

Robert Godfrey, Just Jamie Ltd, West Stand
I think the team needs to impress the new head coach today, as well as the supporters, so they will all be pulling together to get the right result and I’m hoping they can do that. I’ll go for a Tottenham win.
Prediction: Spurs 2 Liverpool 1

Pete Stevens, BBC London Radio
I’m not entirely sure why but there does seem to be something wrong at Liverpool at the moment, so maybe Spurs can capitalise on that today. Tottenham to win, Fredi Kanoute to grab both goals.
Prediction: Spurs 2 Liverpool 1
