The skilful midfielder curled home a 30--yard free-kick for Swindon Town in Saturday's League One encounter at MK Dons - his first league goal in front of a live television audience.
It was Alex's second high-profile goal in 10 days after he scored the winner against QPR in the Capital One Cup.
Our loanees Ryan Mason and Grant Hall also played as the Robins secured a 1-1 draw at stadium:mk despite losing Nathan Byrne to a straight red card after 50 minutes.
"To score my first league goal in a big game like that was something special, especially with the game being live on television with so many people watching," said Alex. "It felt good.
"Jay McEverley put the ball down and suggested to me to curl it around the wall and as soon as I hit it, I knew it felt like a good strike."
Just like Ryan, who scored a hat-trick against Crewe the previous week, Alex sees his season-long loan at the County Ground as a chance to show what he can do. "It's a great opportunity," he said.
Next up for our Swindon trio - Wolves at Molineux on Saturday.
