Anthony Gardner doesn't believe Middlesbrough will look to shut up shop in Saturday's Premiership encounter at the Lane.
There is a theory that visiting teams will be more cautious in their approach this time around after our fine home form in the second half of last season.
The goals flowed - including five-goal shows against Southampton, Everton and Villa - as we lost just one league game at home from November until the end of the season.
But defender Anthony said: "I think teams enjoy coming to the Lane and want to come and play.
"The tougher games are those when teams sit back and make it difficult but I think most teams in the Premiership will come and try to win the game, especially a team like Middlesbrough.
"They have an experienced squad, they are strong and they have quality throughout the side.
"It's a tough game but as long as we stay compact and play the way we can play I think we’ll be alright.
"The crowd will be up for it for the first home game and ideally we’ll go out there and show what we intend to do this season."
