David Pleat doesn't believe the elation of Boro's Carling Cup victory will have died down as we prepare to face them tonight.
Steve McClaren's men won the first trophy in the club's history nine days ago.
Although back to earth with a bump and Premiership defeat at Birmingham City last week, they celebrated again with an open-top parade around Middlesbrough on Sunday.
"I'm sure they'll still be elated," said acting boss David. "They've just had their parade around the town to display the cup, made their statements about how great the club can become and how this is the starting point. I hope it is for them.
"Steve's done very well, very astute, spent a lot of money and just won a club. That is the black and white of it.
"We'll go up there and do our best, Middlesbrough will do the same and I can't predict the result - I just want a Tottenham win.
