David Pleat predicts a tough encounter when we travel to Leeds United on Saturday chasing back-to-back Premiership wins.
Following the FA Cup win over Crystal Palace and the resounding Premiership victory over Birmingham on Wednesday night, the team are in good shape for the challenge of climbing up the table.
Following Leeds' well-documented struggles earlier this season, the Elland Road side did rally and were unbeaten in five games before suffering a dip over the Christmas period and are now attempting to break a sequence of three straight defeats - the last of which being a single goal reverse away to Newcastle.
"It was a close game at Newcastle," reported David, before assessing the Leeds threat. "Kilgallon has been introduced since Radebe's injury with Duberry at the back, Kelly and Harte are very experienced Irish internationals and the goalkeeper Robinson is rated among the top three in England.
"In the wide positions Leeds have Pennant and Milner, who are very exciting talents, while Viduka is a very powerful centre-forward who, on his day, is awesome. Bridges came on against Newcastle and made a contribution - a player that almost came to Tottenham about four years ago.
"In midfield they have players like Bakke, Matteo or maybe Seth Johnson - because we don't know if Batty will play.
"They are Premiership quality players, there is no getting away from that and this is going to be a very hard game."
