Mido insists that winning a good ratio of away games at places like Ewood Park will make all the difference for us come the final Premiership reckoning.
We head to the home of Blackburn Rovers tonight seeking to return to top spot after Manchester City overtook us on Tuesday evening following their win over Sunderland.
Mido points to the example set by Everton and Bolton last season, where the pair were resolute on the road and this played a big part in them securing European football.
"I think it will be a tough game," said Mido on our first trip to the north west this term. "We will have to concentrate and be very well prepared.
"We cannot think about the Middlesbrough game anymore, we have to go there and try and take the three points. I think in this type of game, if we take the three points, it will make the difference at the end of the season.
"I say this to the players and it is what we are talking about. If we win this kind of game away it will make a big difference to the table and put us higher.
"It is a totally different game we need to play away, we need to work more and, as strikers, we need to do more defensive work. When you get a chance you must score like Everton and Bolton did last season and they got fourth and fifth because they did very well when they played away.
"We must do the same and learn to do this away. If we do we will be in the first four or five - believe me."
